Delivery Not In Person
If you receive a check by mail or through a person other than the accused, we cannot criminally prosecute unless we can establish the identity of the person writing the check.
We may be able to establish identity if you can provide the original contract, order, or request for services that the check purports to pay, bearing the signature of the person who signed the worthless check, or by presenting a copy of the check cashing card/membership application which has the following information: presenters full name, residence address, home phone number, business phone number, place of employment, sex, date of birth and height.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. If we are unable to file criminal charges for any reason, we will return the original worthless check to you with an explanation.
